Fantastic and Flavorful: Top Breweries, Distilleries, and Activities Near Paso Robles, CA

Sensario

If you haven't visited the Sensario Field of lights, now is the time, and it's a perfect pre or post brewery activity. This installation is composed of over 58,000 solar powered lights spread over 15 acres of land. The effect is stunning. As the sun goes down, the field comes alive thanks to the tiny, swaying globes of solar powered light. Visitors can enjoy food and wine on location before strolling through this impressive display. Hours run from 7:30PM to 11PM. Unfortunately, this display is scheduled to leave Paso Robles soon, so take advantage of it while you can!

What Visitors Are Saying

"Really amazing sight to see. We went before the sun went down and were initially concerned that this may have not been a good idea but we were treated to an incredible sunset with the lights slowly increasing in intensity as it got darker out. Highly recommend a trip to Field of Lights. It is really beautiful."

KiloKilo Brewing

This Hawaiian inspired brewery has been making big changes lately. They have taken advantage of the temporary shutdown of local businesses during the Coronavirus epidemic to make upgrades to their brewery and restaurants. They've hired a new chef, created a new menu, added outdoor and brewery seating, and more.

Much like the brewery itself, KiloKilo beer gets its flavor inspiration from Hawaii. Some of their unique flavors include roasted chocolate, vanilla beans, and lemon verbena. The brewery is open Wednesday through Sunday and often hosts musicians and other performers to make your night out even more spectacular. Nothing goes better with a cold beer than a summer evening, great food, and a live performance!

What Visitors Are Saying

"Great Beer! Dropped in for a bite and a beer and was thrilled with the beer. Ended up taking several crowlers home. The milkshake IPAs reminded me of the Hawaiian Breweries I've visited. Nice change of pace from the other major breweries in the area"

Re:Find Distillery

The Villacana family started as Vintners after hand planting their own vineyard. As they were looking for a way to repurpose some of the unused grape juice and byproducts of winemaking, they stumbled upon an unexpected fact: they could make vodka from grapes. Not long after, they began creating artisan spirits using the grapes of the region. Their philosophy is to use the best produce from the best farmers in order to create the best spirits. It's important that people know where their spirits come from.

The Villacanas make sure each step of their spirit-making process is done carefully and thoughtfully. Some of their most popular spirits include Limoncello Liqueur, Femminello St. Teresa lemon zest soaked in a clean vodka for 3-4 months, and their cucumber flavored vodka, vodka with fresh cucumber juice added to the final distillation. Re:Find is open for tastings by appointment.

What Visitors Are Saying

"Friendly knowledgeable staff willing and able to answer questions about the offerings. Warm and inviting location. Store has all the go-withs you need for wine and spirits. Tasting includes 4 wines and 6 spirit tastings, fee waived with purchase of 2 bottles."

Centennial Park Trail

There's nothing better than a cold beer or craft spirit after a nice walk. Centennial Park trail, located in the east side of Paso Robles, is a great place to enjoy a peaceful stroll through the park while enjoying the beauty of the fields, the oak trees, and the stream that winds its way through the 16 acre park. You won't need to plan too much to take this walk, as the trail is 1.8 miles round trip, paved, and well-maintained. Enjoying the Centennial Park trail is a great way to work up an appetite!

"Take the Spring St.exit from Highway 101 and go right on Niblick Rd. (east) and drive 1.2 miles-turn left onto Melody Dr. for 0.4 miles-turn left onto Lana St. and go to the end of the road to the trailhead."

What Visitors Are Saying

"I thoroughly enjoyed this wide, paved trail. There were a few people on the trail walking with their leashed, well behaved small dogs. Weather was perfect and the scenery was truly lovely. It was a perfect hike for this 50+ year old, not in perfect shape ladybug to get out and stretch my legs and fortify my heart and soul. So glad I found it."
